Cyrillic is a younger typographic script with a number of alternative versions of letterforms. The use of certain forms requires shaping related characters in a similar way. Correlations between letterforms are not always the same and depend on the style and construction of the letter (capital, roman, italic, cursive, sans serif). The aim of this talk is to highlight some of the special features and relationships of the letterforms that are to be taken into consideration when designing and using Cyrillic typefaces.
